Variable fonts doesn't work

I'm trying to use @nuxt/fonts with Inter variable font, but I'm getting a warning:

 WARN  Could not produce font face declaration from google for font family Inter. @nuxt/fonts 20:19:51

And the font wasn't applied.

Were you running the module in stackblitz? If so then it's because stackblitz's CORS settings does not allow access to google. You'd have to use their CORS Proxy.

It was a problem on my local machine as well, that's why I've created the issue. The provider "fontsource" worked while "google" did not.
