Hi There,
Unable to load the custom JMX setting using the JMX_config for collector contrib JMX receiver. please suggest how to load the custom config
receivers:
jmx:
jar_path: /opt/opentelemetry-jmx-metrics.jar
endpoint: kafka:9999
# For custom mapping
jmx_configs: /opt/custom-jmx-mappings.yaml
collection_interval: 15s

Do you have any errors? Can you share any logs with the errors loading the config? What is the collector version?

That’s the problem there is no errors in the logs. It’s just simply don’t accept the JMX config metric rules files and only loads the default Kafka metrics rules.

Is there any way I can override default Kafka metrics rules?

I even observed that target system must be given even JMX config is provided but as per the documentation it’s not need.
