Chatkit not allowing local domains

Chatkit won't detect the workflow ID without having an approved domain, and these can't be local domains.
Even setting up a "fake" one in the hosts file and using HTTPS in local dev - still gets refused at the workflow ID level.

How are we supposed to run dev environments?

Hi @PJWilkinson, if you're talking about custom chatkit servers, any domain key will work locally. Just use your production domain to generate a key, and use that locally - we don't run validation for localhost.

If you're talking about a workflow ID from agent builder, you shouldn't need domain verification to test locally.

The workaround is eg use an ngrok and get an public url and add that to your openai account Domain allowlist
