Hi OpenVINO Mentors and Community,
My name is Devansh Sahu, and I'm a computer science student very interested in contributing to the OpenVINO Toolkit for Google Summer of Code 2026.
I'm specifically drawn to this organization because my primary focus is on AI, particularly Computer Vision. I saw that OpenVINO is a toolkit for optimizing and deploying AI inference, which aligns perfectly with my skills.
To give you a brief background:
I am proficient in Python and C++.
My main technical skills are in AI/ML and Computer Vision (object detection).
I've built a real-time object detection web app using TensorFlow.js and hold certifications in Google Cloud Computer Vision and Oracle Generative AI.
I've read the GSoC contributor guide and know the first step is to become an active community member. I've started looking through the GitHub issues, but I was wondering if you could point me toward any "good first issues" or a specific area where a new contributor with my background could start helping out?
Thank you for your time. I'm excited to start contributing!
Best regards, Devansh Sahu
