I want to participate in GSoC 2023, need help to get started with open source.

Hey everyone, I am Hanif Shaikh , second year MCA student at R B Institute of management studies, Ahmedabad , India. I came across Liquid Galaxy on the GSOC organization page and i loved the ideas . I know Android development related stuffs : Kotlin , MVVM, Firebase , APIs , Retrofit etc.. I need guidance to start working on this project.So, can you tell me more about this and guide me further about the same.
