• The PR Introduce new platform parameter system infrastructure #5725 lays the groundwork for the new platform parameter system. Apart from the UI, the primary module to focus on is the Domain module.
• A key functionality to refer is PlatformParameterController, the PlatformParameterControllerProdImpl.kt handles the production implementation. This implementation enables PlatformParameterProcessState to provide initialization values.
• A Debug implementation will need to be created while leveraging the production functionality.
• Additionally, downloadRemoteParameters in this file will handle force-downloading parameters from Oppia Web.
• The model/src/main/proto/platform_parameter.proto file defines the parameter structure and will be updated to support local overrides.
