Both are from the same author. Notable improvement: dynamic support for proto int64

Some work has been started as part of #1664, it may be possible to extract into a standalone PR and finish it.

I had another look at this, bufbuild/protobuf-es only generates the code from proto messages, bufbuild/connect-web will also be needed to generate code from proto services. Essentially all changes related to TypeScript from #1664, plus some app adjustments to the new client API
