Build is failing due to new vite configuration file

The new vite configuration is causing failures with the build. Currently in order to get this to run the user needs to delete the vite configuration and use web pack. Should come up with a solution to allow a user to pick vite or webpack. Maybe a second branch or a tool to use vite instead.
