Multiple Users deploying via same deployment config?

My team is using posit publisher to deploy jupyter notebooks from our project. As far as we can see, it makes no sense to include the .toml files of the Posit Publisher deployments in our git, as the config is not imported into the Publisher by default.
Is this feature already planned?

Could you elaborate a bit on what you mean by the "config is not imported"?

If the .toml files, the deployment file and the configuration file, are inside of the project's directory the deployment (and its associated configuration) should be selectable like so:

We have a collaboration document that outlines how we expect these files to be used with tools like git so multiple team members can deploy to the same content.
