Describe the bug

Hi All,

on Github latest firmware for RPi5 is 2025-10-17: Enable background refresh on 2712d0 for all SDRAM sizes (latest).

My device is:

BOOTLOADER: up to date
   CURRENT: Wed 27 Aug 2025 19:01:47 UTC (1756321307)
    LATEST: Wed 27 Aug 2025 19:01:47 UTC (1756321307)
   RELEASE: latest (/usr/lib/firmware/raspberrypi/bootloader-2712/latest)
Use raspi-config to change the release.

I am still on bookworm. After firmware dated as 27-08-2025 there were quite few in the changelog. apt update does not show any updates available for rpi-eeprom-update.

Is bookworm being left behind from now on?

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

run apt update which does not give newer version.
