element's styles should be an option, not hard-coded

I am adding this as a courtesy, as I am putting together a PR for this feature. For my use-case, I need the cy element to be less than 600px, as I am using it dynamically on many differently sized screens. As such, when sizing lower than 600px, the rendering gets skewed with respect to the background.
