Excessively high CPU profiling #453

As requested, here's that CPU profiling done over a few minutes of coding my VN: CPU-20240921T004743.499Z.cpuprofile.txt
I'm not sure how helpful this'll be, but other extensions I was using during profiling which might be worth noting for possible interactions making the load and latency worse are the previously-mentioned Python Paste and Indent and Code Spell Checker, both of which have become a bit sluggish since the switch from Ren'Py extension versions. In brief detail, the pasting extension either pastes instantly or takes up to 8 seconds to paste, and CSC's autocomplete suggestions can take several seconds to appear.
