Filtering branches

Is there a way to have a field to let people filter the branches which are shown in the browser? It get cumbersome to browse files with hundreds or thousands of branches.

Tangentially related, is ther a way to hide the cycles (;1/;2 in the screnshot)? I find them to only cause confusion.

Yes, this is possible. You can change settings.OnlyLastCycle value to true.
It also can be done via context menu - activate it over "Read a ROOT file" label

This is not implemented. You always can start searching for specific branch name using Ctrl + F functionality of web browser.
JSROOT shows by default first 250 branches, but this value can be increased via settings.HierarchyLimit parameter.
Value also can be changed via context menu.

Thanks for the quick responses! I'd seen evidence of the menu in the code but never figured out how to open it 😅

settings.OnlyLastCycle and settings.HierarchyLimit/Ctrl+F will this will be much better than what we currently have.

I think it would be useful to have a filter button next to expand all | collapse all | clear (IIRC the traditional TBrowser has functionality like this). Perhaps this issue act as an enhancement request? If you think it's out of scope feel free to close as you've addressed my primary issue.
