Dymos was developed around the same time as we were working on WecOptTool. It is a much more general tool and likely more capable. We should take a look at it and see how hard it would be to set up a WecOptTool style problem in Dymos. Based on a quick review, this tutorial might be a good place to start: https://openmdao.github.io/dymos/examples/racecar/racecar.html.
