• I recommend that you set messageListParams once when initialize the SBUGroupChannelViewController instance.
  However, if you want to change the messageListParams, there are several ways:

• case 1. You can update the view model directly

self.viewModel = SBUGroupChannelViewModel(...)

• case 2. or you can call the public method that creates and set up a new view model

self.createViewModel(...)

• case 3 (recommended). or update customizedMessageListParams and call loadInitialMessages.

viewModel.customizedMessageListParams = newMessageListParams
viewModel.loadInitialMessages(...) 
// will re-create message collection with updated `customizedMessageListParams` and load messages again

• case 3-a You can also create your own customized view model class that overrides SBUGroupChannelViewModel and make it to change messageListParams during run time.
