Issue description

Spacedrive consistently freezes and becomes unresponsive when I attempt to open a folder of 2TB or larger located on a standard hard disk drive (HDD) that contains hundreds of media files of varying sizes and lengths.

Steps to Reproduce:

Navigate to a hard disk drive (HDD).
Attempt to open a folder with a size of 2TB or greater containing hundreds of media files.
Observe Spacedrive becoming unresponsive.

Expected Behavior:
Spacedrive should open the folder contents without freezing or becoming unresponsive, similar to how other file explorers handle large directories, even those with numerous media files.

Actual Behavior:
Spacedrive freezes and requires force-quitting or waiting for an extended period.

Attempted Solutions:
I have tried defragmenting the hard drive and performing other standard disk optimizations in an attempt to resolve this issue, but the problem persists.

Additional Information:
Windows Explorer can open the same large folders on the HDD, which contain hundreds of media files of varying sizes and lengths, without any delay or freezing. This indicates a potential limitation or bug specific to Spacedrive's handling of large directories with numerous media files on HDDs.

Steps to reproduce

1. Have a folder 2 TB+ or larger with hundreds of media files
2. Store it on a traditional style HDD
3. Try to open the folder in spacedrive
