[syncfusion_flutter_calendar] Lacking standard hold-and-drag gesture for event resizing

Use case

Now standard calendar apps like Google Calendar or Apple Calendar allow you to long-press

• an event and pull the upper or lower edge to resize it (now can only move it, not resize)
• an empty space to preview the to-be-created event

However, Syncfusion currently does not support this.

1. Event drag & drop and event re‑size on long‑press

In SfCalendar, event can be resized using the allowAppointmentResize property. This allows users to adjust an appointment’s start and end times by dragging its edges. However, this feature is available only on Web and Desktop platforms not applicable on mobile platforms (Android/iOS).

In addition, you can use the allowDragAndDrop property to drag and move appointments between different time slots. This works across all platforms; however, on Android/iOS devices it does not work in the Month view, because this specific view layout does not support drag‑based rescheduling.

However, we have already logged a feature request for these two features in our feedback portal. We prioritize features based on demand and importance, so this may be included in one of our upcoming releases. 2. Previewing an event on long‑press

Currently, the SfCalendar does not provide any built‑in support to preview or automatically create an event when long‑pressing an empty time slot. To achieve a similar experience, we have prepared a workaround sample where a long‑press on an empty cell shows a preview event and then opens a dialog for entering the event details.

This approach provides a smooth preview‑and‑create event, but multi‑cell drag selection cannot be implemented due to the current SfCalendar layout and gesture handling structure.

I have the same problem. Our project also wants to implement this kind of interaction, but SyncFusion doesn't currently support it, which is a shame.
