type Domain is too strict

The type Domain is too strict for my use case:

type Domain = `${string}.${string}` | `localhost`;

The container running typesense on my development machine is just called typesense, so I can't use it without aliasing or some other trickery. Also in production, the server name is just a plain IPv4 address, which again doesn't conform to this type. Can something be done in this regard?
