Select all > Delete records deletes all records meeting the filter context not just the ones visible in the view

I ran an automation to create Opps. Before the automation completed, from an Opps view I had open in another tab, I selected all and deleted records. When the page refreshed I was missing expected newly created records suggesting they had been deleted, before they had been made visible to me, because they fit the filtered criteria at the time of the delete operation.
