Umbraco Workflow with Cloud: Approve & Deploy

Our client follows a common pattern on Umbraco Cloud of using Staging for all content updates and then deploying those to Live to publish them. So the publish process has been ‘Save and Publish’ followed by ‘Deploy to Live’

As the number of editors have increased they have added Workflow to solution to control the content approval process. This is controlling the publishing of the content on the Staging environment well. To the client though this is not ‘published’ content it is ‘approved’ content, it all needs to be deployed to Live to be truly published.

The perception is that these are two different publishing workflows for two different Umbraco products that don't feel integrated

We would like an integrated mechanism for incorporating the deployment of content (or the queuing for deployment) into Workflow to make this a seamless process for the content approver.

Hey @embrace-matt thanks for raising this one - we're looking at how Deploy works with all the commercial products (currently working on Engage), and this is a really good example of something to address for Workflow+Deploy.
