privacy clarification #2

Description

@scrapix

Hey @unclecode, thank you for your work - it's very inspiring!

in the Readme it says

All speech-to-text conversion happens on your device
No data is sent to any external servers other than the API you choose (Groq or OpenAI)

isn't speech data automatically sent to grok for processing?

However, using Groq’s API means your data is subject to Groq’s internal policies. Users must consider:

Audio data is uploaded to Groq’s servers for transcription.

Data may be temporarily stored/cache for processing or troubleshooting, per their terms.

Major APIs typically include provisions for confidentiality, but ultimate privacy is determined by Groq’s own data handling and retention practices.
