Hubspot "Block Free Domains" Setting

What are you trying to do?

Hubspot Forms allow for the blocking of free domains in email fields, it would be AMAZING if Formie allowed a toggle to inherit this setting and could validate against hubspots list of blocked domains. Currently, I'd need to paste over 100 domains into the disallowed field in Formie settings on each form.

What's your proposed solution?

Option A: Connect to Hubspot's API to validate the email prior to submission

Option B: Add/Maintain a Hubspot list of domains based on the provided hubspot resource, and use it the same way as the existing Formie dissallowed domain check. Add the option to select "Block Free Domains" on all forms similar to the hubspot setup example pictured.

I think this is related to #512 where fields can add a "remote source" of some kind, that's dependant on integrations.

@engram-design maybe? You might be able to achieve both requests using the same method but I also think you can achieve this one (the block free domains) another way.

I also don't know if you maybe just want to make this a built-in feature anyone can use (not just the integration folks) and make it an option for Formie forms with your own "free domains" list as the validation.

There's a number of ways to tackle depending what works best for your team from an upkeep standpoint :)

I guess I was assuming that you wanted to populate the settings of the Email Formie field with these external domains to block. We currently have a "Blocked Domains" setting, that you'd need to manage within Formie, independant of HubSpot. If you wanted the two to sync, that's where the above "remote setting" sort of thing would come into play. I guess that's what I'm inferring when you say "inherit".

I could see value in adding a "Block Free Domains" setting in email fields, generally though. We'll just mirror what a number of providers out there classify as "free domains".

Anyway, the latter is at least achievable today with minimal work.

Yeah ultimately the end goal is blocking free domains, I'm personally fine with whichever way is valuable without having to manually add 100+ domains into a table field ;)
