How to change port on a vite-react-app??

I recently migrated from react to vite start and I cannot figure out how to change to port of the app when it is served locally. I know how to do it when we use react scripts but I dont know how to do it when we use vite. Can anyone help please?

You can use server.port in your config file, or pass --port {Number} in the CLI

I tried doing that.... I assumed that I am doing something wrong while passing the command in cli.
Now I am getting this error... can you please help me??
Also as you can see my project is starting on a weird port:5173
Can you show me how can I edit the config file to change the port?

I will read the docs again to see if it can assist me in any way

You are typing vite 3000 3000, it should be vite --port 3000

I used npm run dev --port 3000

In npm, I think you'll need to use npm run dev -- --port 3000

by adding server port works for me
