Controlling the CPU fan and the GPU fan separately

The statement made on the arch wiki is really vague with regards to this. Can I control both the CPU fan speed, and the GPU fan speed separately? If so, could you point me in the right direction? Im not super savvy here. I got this to work for the CPU but its still a bit magic to me. I don't know how it knows which fan is the CPU fan. If I can, I'd like to define it, and the GPU (nvidia 3090 ti) separately, and tune the curves separately.

Using sensors it looks like both the CPU and GPU temps come out of this module:

I'd also recommend using the latest 2.0.0 release and reading its thinkfan.conf manpage.
