Really not a programmer, and not sure if this is the board to request new device support to be added. But I would love to have support added for the levoit sprout humidifier. If this is not the place, apologies

Just went through the testing, looking like it pulled the device labeled as "Humidifier" correctly (this is a personal name I gave in my own vesync app). It's showing the correct information in the log, how would you like me to send the log to you?

Is there anything else I can do to assist?

Thank you for confirming! If you can make sure the state object is correct when you make various changes. You can print an export of it with device.state.to_json(indent=True)

Sorry for the life of me I tried, I can run the test script, but otherwise when I'm trying to use device.state.to_json(indent=True).

I'm usually getting "device not found".

Something interesting though, I tried the --test-devices argument for the script, and the log successfully ran the test for my levoit 6000S. But not for the Levoit Sprout that I was testing

Ahh, this is a humidifier. Do you have the ability to capture packets? Or if your ok with it you can share it with me temporarily.

Im also interested in support, and Ill try to set up packet capture - beyond the instructions on the capture page, will the logs there capture everything needed, or are separate notes on each action helpful? otherwise can definitely share the device as well.

The latest gen of Sprout is both purifier and humidifier, they probably should have given it another name since the original is just purifier. If Im understanding the documentation, in the parlance of pyvesync, it has the AirBaseV2 but should also inherit the BypassV2Mixin and VeSyncHumidifier - based on the type of humidifier it is (im guessing the features/code from the 6000s are utilized here as theyre both evaporative). If that wasnt enough fun, it seems to add an 'auto' mist mode as it also comes with a separate temp/hum sensor that pairs with it and probably has its own set of captures/etc to go through

Looking to try to port it into HA, with the integration based on pyvesync from haext, but skimming those docs it likely would take a bit of work in the transition of 2-> 3.0?

The core integration was ported to 3.X of this library already. Core has been catching up to those custom integrations, in some areas have passed it.

As for the library yes captures would help. I would think it may need to inherit both humidifier and purifier bases. I think one sprout was added to the library but that may be a different model.

I tried getting the dev environment set up per the instructions but got stuck at the point of the adb steps as it said connection refused when trying to connect to the localhost 7555 .

Guessing it might just be easier to share my device with whomever can use it
