Custom Active Tab Styles Being Overridden By Defaults

Problem:
Custom font and background color settings for active Tab Trigger elements are being overridden by the defaults in published site, even though they display correctly in the builder. This behavior happens in both the Cloud Builder and the Self-Hosted Builder.

Using Brave Browser v1.83.109 on Linux Mint

As a temporary workaround, I was hoping to set custom CSS styles in the Advanced section with the '!important' flag for color and background-color, but the builder doesn't seem to let me set custom styles for those properties, much less add the '!important' flag to them (I can't seem to add this flag to any custom style, in fact). If I try to add a custom style for color or bg color, it just sets the values to "unset" and doesn't add them to the Advanced list.
