It’s a cleaner way to do this, and also at the time this change was made on my local copy it was because it fixed some users issue (however I can’t find them anymore, probably sank in the ubuntu-fr forum). |
|
Could some other people test this? (In chance anyone is reading this) |
|
I'll give it a shot in the next couple of days in Debian. |

Debian sid + nvidia proprietary usual stuff works fine. Should I look/test for something in particular? |
|
We had an issue in the past when things were moved to this directory (5aeefc2), but I think that was because of the duplicated Device section. Things here I quite different and I don’t expect any issue, but would rather have it as widely tested as possible given how sensible it was last time. ;) |

On a second thought, we should also update documentation for multi-monitor setups (since the AutoAddDevices line is to be removed in that case, so now is the new file content to be removed I think — but not the whole file). Is one of your system having an output wired to the nvidia card by chance? |
|
Unfortunately both my laptop use the integrated card for the ports, sorry. |
Mostly about the new 10-ignore-devices.conf one, but also a bit in both others.

I’ve just updated the branch with documentations changes. These need to be reflected in wikis, will take care of ours and Arch one. |
Please test this change in as most configurations as possible (with nouveau and nvidia, different distros…).
