New Options:

  • Replay Mode Settings:
    • Disable Cinematic Cameras - Wander the map or look at a car without being dragged away by scripted events.
    • Pause at Start - Pause at match start while in replay mode.
    • Finish Pre-Spectate Time - Set the wait time before entering spectate mode after finishing a level (normally 5 seconds).
  • Local Replay Trimming - Change how local replays past the limit are deleted:
    • Never - Ignore the placement limit and never delete replays.
    • Current Run Only - Never delete existing replays, but don't add the current run if its past the placement limit.
    • Always - Always remove replays past the placement limit after finishing a run.

Changed Options:

  • Use Data Effect for Mode - Data materialization effect can now be disabled for Replay Mode as well. Changed to a Ghost/Replay Mode listbox.
  • Use Rival Car Style for Mode - Changed to a Ghost/Replay Mode listbox.
  • Most settings have been moved into new Limits submenu to clean up the root menu. Data Effect, LODs, and Car Styles have been kept in the root menu.

New Options:

  • Use Random Cars For - Decide whether local and/or online leaderboards replays will be randomized. (Previously Use Random Local Cars and Use Random Online Cars)
  • Car Seed Method/Color Seed Method - Change how randomness is determined for car types and car colors: (Previously Fixed Randomness and Random _ by Placement)
    • Always Random - Randomness is not fixed, and will be different every time.
    • By Replay - Randomness is fixed and determined by the replay's data, so a sepecific replay will always use the same random appearance.
    • By Placement - Randomness is fixed and determined by the placement out of all the current replays (excluding the car from your current run).
  • Vanilla Car Weight Settings:
    • Set All Vanilla Car Weights - Assign the same weight to all vanilla cars in one go.
    • Reset Vanilla Car Weights - Set all vanilla car weights back to their mod-default values.
    • (list of every vanilla car weight in selection order)
  • Custom Car Weight Settings: New submenu that lists all custom cars, so you no longer need to edit Settings/Config.json.
    • Set All Custom Car Weights - Enter a name filter, and then assign the same weight to all matching custom cars in one go.
    • Default Custom Cars Weight - Set the default weight used by all custom cars that have a weight of 0.0. (Previously Custom Cars Chance)
    • Split Default Custom Cars Weight - The default weight used by custom cars will be divided evenly among all cars. (Previously Individual Custom Cars Chance)

  • Require Car Unlocks - Random car choices will always exclude cars that you haven't unlocked.

Changes:

  • Can no longer use the Catalyst backer car for randomized cars if you are not a Kickstarter backer.
  • Random car weights now use a range of 0.0 - 100.0. (previously 0.0 - 1.0)
  • Random by Placement now takes DidNotFinish status into account.
  • A majority of the Randomized Cars settings have been changed or renamed, meaning many settings will need to be configured again. If you want to clean up old abandoned settings, then just remove all keys with the random. prefix in Settings/Config.json before starting the game again.

New Options:

  • Min Level of Detail - Option has returned, now that the cause of level environment interference has been identified.
  • Show Data Effect in Ghost Mode - The materialization effect when a car spawns/finish-despawns can now be disabled when racing ghosts (the effect can cause quite a bit of lag when racing against large numbers).

Changed Options:

  • Min/Max Level of Detail - Options now use clearer terminology like you'd see in graphics options. The available LOD's has also been slimmed down due to some not being used outside of cars with camera focus. Cars with camera focus now ignore Max Level of Detail, and always use their intended LOD.

Fixes:

  • Level environment interference when playing against Networked/Replay-style cars has been completely removed.

Removed Options:

  • Min Level of Detail - This option has been temporarily removed because some issues were occurring when playing against large numbers of ghosts with higher-than-normal minimum LODs.

Fixes:

  • Max Auto Replays - ReplaySettings now properly saves upon modifying this option.

  • Steam Rivals - Experimental feature that allows you to mark individual online players as 'rivals'. Rival cars can optionally stand out more when racing ghosts. Rivals will also be colored purple in the Online Leaderboards menu.

New Options:

new Replay Intensifies Centrifuge options menu

  • Use Max Selected Replays - Use a separate count for how many replays can be picked from the leaderboards menu, allowing you to set a lower maximum for replays that are automatically downloaded when playing a level.
  • Max Auto Replays - The GHOSTS IN ARCADE COUNT option from the ReplaySettings menu is also listed in the Replay Intensifies menu for ease-of-access.
  • Max Selected Replays - The maximum number of replays that will load from the leaderboards menu (only when Use Max Selected Replays is enabled).
  • Max Saved Local Replays - Change the max number of local replays that will save for each level. No longer are you restricted to your 20 top ghosts.
  • Max Online Leaderboard Ranks - Change how many leaderboard entries will be downloaded when viewing the Online Leaderboards tab.
  • Ghost Car Style/Replay Car Style - Change the visual style for cars:
    • Ghost - No solid body, only an outline and optional name tag.
    • Networked - Semi solid body that fades away when colliding with the player.
    • Replay - Full solid body that doesn't fade away.
    • Outline/no Outline - Show or hide the car outline color for any of the 3 above styles.
  • Max Level of Detail/Min Level of Detail - Change the limits for the LOD used for replay cars. Up the minimum quality to improve graphics, or lower the maximum to improve performance.
  • Enable Unrestricted Car Colors - It's possible to edit car color preset files to use RGB channel values that are much higher than 1.0 (255). These values are saved in online replays but are normally clamped to 0.0-1.0 (0-255) when loading. This setting allows you to disable that and experience those obnoxious arrays of bright colors in all its glory!
