This repository contains data analysis projects focusing on Airbnb activity in two major US cities: Seattle, Washington and Boston, Massachusetts. The aim of these projects is to provide insights into the patterns of Airbnb listings, reviews, and availability trends within these cities, using data from the Airbnb Inside initiative.

Seattle Airbnb Open Data

Context

Airbnb has transformed the way people travel by providing a platform for hosts to offer unique, personalised accommodations to guests since 2008. The dataset provided here pertains to homestay listings in Seattle, WA, detailing their activity and characteristics.

Data Description

The Seattle dataset includes the following details:

  • Listings: Full descriptions of properties and their average review scores.
  • Reviews: Data including a unique ID for each reviewer along with detailed comments.
  • Calendar: Information regarding the availability and pricing of listings on specific dates.

Boston Airbnb Open Data

Context

Following the same structure as the Seattle dataset, this data represents Airbnb listing activities in Boston, MA, providing insights into the dynamics of the local Airbnb market.

Data Description

The Boston dataset includes:

  • Listings: Details such as full descriptions of properties and their average review scores.
  • Reviews: Contains a unique ID for each reviewer and detailed comments.
  • Calendar: Data on the pricing and availability of properties for different dates.
