If you don't mind, I added another option in the same pr. Again the option is false by default, and switches to an existing editor instead of opening new tabs. See #65 |

Added an option to auto focus todays note. Default is false, so nothing will change for current users. It allows you to start typing immediately when you open the daily notes editor.
