👋 Hi, I’m @SomeSolutionsArchitect

🧠 I wear many hats — part Enterprise/Domain/Solutions Architect, part Software Developer — with a healthy mix of Tinkerer, Mentor, Helper, and Leader.

👀 I’m deeply interested in the full arc of software development — from gathering requirements to testing, operating, evolving, and eventually replacing systems when the time is right. Outside of work, I stay grounded with family and recharged through outdoor adventures.

🌱 I’m currently focused on driving transformational change inside Cisco IT as a Solutions Architect in the Engineering Productivity team, here's how:

  • Building and nurturing communities to foster collaboration, visibility, and cross-team support.
  • Championing an inner-source culture to break down silos and reduce redundant work. By encouraging teams to make their code discoverable, reusable, and open for contribution within the company, we unlock faster innovation, raise the bar on code quality through broader review, and make onboarding easier as developers learn by example from real, production-grade systems. Inner-source promotes a culture of shared ownership and pride, helping engineers see themselves as part of something larger than just their immediate team.
  • Leading an AI-first mindset across the entire development lifecycle — from ideation to maintenance — helping engineers spend less time on technical debt and more time building the future.
  • Encouraging a shift in developer identity to meet the moment: much like the industrial revolution transformed manual laborers into machine operators and technicians, today’s AI era is reshaping what it means to be a software craftsman. I’m working to help developers see that evolution — not as a loss of control, but as an opportunity to elevate their craft, mastering new tools and focusing their creativity on problems that matter. The future belongs to those who embrace change with skill and intention.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement — encouraging teams to reflect, adapt, and iterate not just on code, but on their practices, tools, and mindsets. We continuously gather metrics, analyze velocity patterns, and surface actionable insights so teams can see where they’re thriving and where they can grow. Through frequent retrospectives and feedback loops, we empower engineers to own their improvement journeys and drive meaningful, measurable progress.

💞️ I’m looking to bring change to the way software developers work — using the right tools and techniques, enhancing the Internal Developer Platform with best-in-class golden paths, simplifying playbooks, and removing bureaucratic friction so engineers can do the best work of their lives.
