I studied LISP thinking it would help me build smart robots, then discoveredDESIGN — typography, letterpress, screen printing,brands. Then rediscovered code. CODE+DESIGN=!!! I spent the next decade as a design technologist making things forNike, The Olympics, MTV — then joined Obscura Digital building physical/digitalimmersive experiences andnovel computing paradigms. (We designed theLas Vegas Sphere for the King of Dubai — too much $$, built long after I left.)
In 2013, I went to Microsoft to work with Blaise Agüera y Arcas on HoloLens, Cortana, Photosynth, andfuturistic wearables. This is where I went deep on agentic AI scenarios. We were early.
I'm a 3x founder. I createdFormation — an AI startup that built the loyalty programs for Starbucks and United Airlines in Haskell (acquired by BCG). Then Joinable, tackling the loneliness epidemic through 'social fitness'. I currently lead AI R&D at Bumble, exploring how AI can empower women and accelerate product innovation.

ANEX is a protocol I created for AI-powered personal agents to safely negotiate data exchange, extending FIPA — a 27-year-old standard for intelligent agent communication.
My AI Twin is a proxy agent that projects my creative background and interests as a rich-media experience — and research on privacy, trust, and ethical AI. Parts of the project areopen under a RAIL license.
I'm a hands-on advisor for &(and.com) — building agent namespace (&tags) and sovereign data infrastructure for AI.
ANASPACE is a cultural exploration app for iOS, built for the Claude Code 1-year anniversary hackathon using Opus 4.6 as a coding partner. It pushes on Apple's on-device Foundation Models for full data sovereignty — the source is open. Inspired by my first generative AI experiment,SNDOUT.
