Things are clearer now
Gtfs object is looking to be removed
split them up into individual records, you can work on a group through a map and flatten
Byte Order Marker at start of some files, this messed up the parsing
- shape_dist_traveled column can exist and be blank - calendar_dates.txt is optional
matching to track geotrellis master
caused the following change:
val reader: GtfsReader
new GtfsData(reader) “turns into” GtfsData.fromReader(reader)
Fix date filtering in getScheduledTripsBetween function
Make geometry column name of shapes and stops configurable
reduces overall memory usage

This is really turning the project into a data model that can be backed either by Postgres or some in-memory DB read from a file.
