It would also be useful to be able to change users' settings, since now it is not possible to make someone admin, for example, or change password for non-oauth2 users. |

The main intention when this plugin was developer was to avoid the CKAN native auth. But this can also be a good idea. However, I would say it would be interesting to let developers to choose the mode they want their instance to work in order not to break backwards compatibility. |
