Hello. Thank you for this PR. I apologise that it has languished unmerged for so long. I'm merging this, but I will remove the section about using Redis in the DB instance in a subsequent commit. The Redis server on the DB master was there for legacy reasons, and we do not recommend using it. Redis has been removed from DB instances on our newer V5 stack. |

Unfortunately I can't merge this as is, as it has diverged significantly from the mainstream and there are now merge conflicts. |

I ran into some issues while installing Sidekiq and I've updated the Readme in case anyone else has the same issues.
