Walkthrough

The changes enhance the documentation for the ld2420 module by introducing two new optional configuration parameters: ld2420_id and uart_id. These parameters allow users to specify which ld2420 instance to use and define the UART interface for the module, respectively. The documentation updates clarify the optional nature and roles of these parameters across multiple platform sections, improving configurability without altering core functionality.

Changes

Files Change Summary
components/sensor/ld2420.rst Added ld2420_id and uart_id parameters to various platform sections (sensor, binary_sensor, text_sensor, number, button, select). Updated documentation to describe the new parameters.

Possibly related PRs

  • [bl0942] Tidy up example #4242: The changes in this PR involve the removal of the uart_id reference in the bl0942 sensor documentation, which is directly related to the uart_id parameter introduced in the main PR for the ld2420 module.

So ssieb asked me to make this PR after we both were trying to help someone for which the documentation wasn't clear. This improves that documentation. I don't have any skin in the game here but it seems pretty straightforward and desirable. I'm not sure why this isn't a no-brainer.
