Things still needed include:

• handling/setting the context parameter
• warning if the document is too large
• (maybe) find a different URL shortening service to use (...or add one into json-ld.org?)

@davidlehn thank you for the detailed list in #896! I'd still love to get this PR merged before addressing those as having this continue to live in a half-life for another 5 months is...not appealing.

We can then continue to chip away at the other issues in future PRs.

Perhaps docs somewhere should have a list of URLs to use to test that active links out in the world keep functioning.

Maybe start an issue and collect them there? They're hard to find. The server doesn't see them since they're client-side. I know Linked.Art and of course various W3C specs link there a good bit. Mostly, we need to keep that list somewhere...and then use it once we have it. I'll start the issue.
