Normally, Ample shows a log window when launching which will display any errors when launching. There are two options for controlling this behavior:

  • Use log window
  • Close log window on normal exit

Ample includes a MAME subset. If you're using Ample Lite, testing a custom MAME build, or just feel like it, you can use a different MAME executable. Enter the path and working directory. Red text indicates the file/folder doesn't exist.

VMNet networking (used by ethernet cards) uses a helper application which needs to run with root permissions (thanks, Apple). Fix VMNet Permissions sets the owner and set-user-ID bit on the executable.
