I validated all clients with the newest version against Kafka brokers v3.9 and v4. The most significant change is in Java because the previous setup was deprecated now that Kafka supports OAuth2 flows other than client credentials. In particular, jose4j needs to be explicitly included for the default OAuth2 helpers.
