This pull request adds future support for filtering the tag list by the current filter on the Performers page, similar to what was done in #5920. I went ahead and also updated setObjectFilter to handle the Galleries mode in support of the eventual port of this function to that page as well.
I have a local build that has already ported the sidebar work to the Galleries and Performers page, where I was able to test the updates proposed here. Here is a screenshot showing the filter by related work working for tags on the performers page:
